An estimated 400 people attended the Destination CycleSafe event held at the Midland Company in Amelia May 18.

Sponsored by the Clermont County General Health District and Safe Communities, the event was held this month, which is National Motorcycle Awareness Month, to increase the safety of riders and to raise awareness of motorcycle safety.

“For a first time event, we were very pleased,” said Safe Communities director Martha Enriquez.

Enriquez said that spring is the time of year when most motorcycles in Clermont County “come out of the garage, get cleaned up, and used.”
