The Pattison Park pond in Owensville was stocked with 750 pounds of fish for kids of all ages to catch at the 18th annual Fishing Day For Kids.

Sponsored by the East Fork Bass Anglers, in cooperation with the Clermont County Park District, the annual Fishing Day For Kids tournament was held May 10 and attracted more than 100 children and their families.

“This is a fun day for kids and their families to spend time together and have fun,” said East Fork Bass Angler Steve Statman. “We stock the pond, mostly with bass and catfish. The first fish was caught only 30 seconds after a line was cast.”

The tournament is held every year for children under the age of 15. Three different age groups competed for prizes in the three categories of smallest, largest, and heaviest fish caught; there was also a casting contest.
