The students at the William Bick Primary School in Bethel attended a school career day May 8.

An annual event, the career day is held as the beginning steps to give the students as much exposure to as many different career choices as possible, said William Bick second grade teacher and career education coordinator Lois Dennis.

“We want to prepare the students to realize that their work in the school prepares them for work out in the world,” Dennis said.

William Bick accomplishes this by having activities all throughout the school year as part of the student’s career education, and it is never too early to start children (each grade level has its own activities) thinking about their future, Dennis said.
