The sights, sounds, and smells of a bygone era were seen, heard, and experienced by the thousands of people who attended the 16th annual Grassy Run Rendezvous last weekend.

Held at the Williamsburg Community Park April 25-27, the rendezvous, one of Clermont County’s most unique outdoor festivals, is an annual celebration of more than 200 years of our local history.

“It was, once again, a great success,” said Grassy Run Historical Arts Committee president Ron Shouse. “The weather was perfect and we think that everyone who participated and attended had a wonderful time.”

The rendezvous included more than 100 encampments, 200 living historians dressed in period costume (mid 1800’s), musical entertainment, demonstrations of life on the early frontier, such as candle-making, calligraphy writing, and woodworking, and countless hands-on activities for people of all ages, including story telling, native American dancing, and musket shooting.
