The Bethel-Tate High School Sports Hall of Fame recently increased its membership by seven with the induction of the class of 2008.

Allene and Pauline Abbott (class of 1930), each played four years of varsity basketball. The Tigers were Clermont County League champions all four years (1927-30). The twin sisters totaled scoring 5,068 between them.

Rusty Canter (class of 1969) lettered in football, basketball, and baseball and was a Clermont County League all-star on the gridiron and diamond. He is best known for his 99 yard-plus run against Clermont Northeastern his senior year that earned Bethel-Tate the Clermont County League pigskin championship.

Don Bee (class of 1973) was a four-year letterman in wrestling. He was a three-time Clermont County League champion on the mat and his senior year was a state tournament qualifier. His prowess in wrestling was widely recognized so much so that one of his self-developed moves became such a favorite at his alma mater it became known as “the Donnie Bee.”
