The LEAD Clermont initiative of Clermont 20/20 is devoting efforts to having an official historical center placed in Clermont County.
LEAD Clermont, in recent focus groups and other evaluation community meetings, has determined that the time is long overdue for Clermont County, which has 14 historical societies, to have an official historical center, said LEAD Clermont committee member Brad Toft.
“We initiated the project in late August,” Toft said. “Right now, we are processing the information that we have compiled in the last few months and making suggestions on how to best commence with work on this very worthy project.”
Toft said that the historical center project will be a multi-year initiative and that an overwhelming majority of all interested parties has determined that there is a definitive interest and need for a historical center in Clermont County.
