A suspect alleged to be involved in a shooting that occurred in Pierce Township Feb. 23 has been arrested in Jacksonville, Fla.

Pierce Township police chief James Smith reports that township resident Brandon Phillips, 22, now in custody of the Jacksonville authorities pending extradition back to Clermont County, has been identified as the person that fired a 9 mm handgun at James Gregory Collett at the White Oak Square apartments in Pierce Township at 3:45 p.m. last Saturday.
