Some 28 individuals have been charged in a major drug investigation centered around two apartment complexes in Union Township.

According to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, complaints of drug activity around the Piccadilly Square and Southern Trace Apartments sparked an investigation that has recovered drugs ranging from oxycontin, vicodin, fantanyl, ritalin, crack cocaine, valium, cocaine, heroin, marijuana and percocet.

According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation took several months to complete, and has resulted in numerous charges spread out over that time to amount to the 28 who have currently been identified as players in the drug activity. The Clermont County Narcotics Unit assisted the Union Township Police in the effort. In all, 21 felony drug offenses were uncovered as part of the investigation with over $13,000 in drugs being seized by officers.

The investigation is still underway, and more charges could be filed. Investigators are attempting to track down and serve arrest warrants to several individuals who have been indicted in the case.
