As the saying goes, you either love it or hate it, but when it comes to the highway intersection of 275 and 32, finding someone who loves it becomes a challenge.

The Ohio Department of Transportation recently announced plans to gradually eliminate the intersection as it exists today and replace it with something safer, easier and more modern.

ODOT held a meeting in Union Township Dec. 13 to give area residents a chance to view the plans and make their comments concerning the plans, which could change much of the landscape in the area.

“This is what we call an open house format where we have displays and ODOT people available to answer questions,” said ODOT District 8 traffic planning engineer Jay Hamilton. “This is to show what the current alternative is for upgrades to the state Route 32 and I-275 intersection. Right now, we basically have one alternative that works. We’re looking for comments on it, like if they like it, hate it or want a few changes. It’s more of where we stand and what works. It will be a phase situation, where we have three phases.”
