Mercy Hospital Clermont is inviting the public to an open house Jan. 20 to celebrate the completion of the new intensive care unit.

“We are excited that the new ICU is almost completed,” said hospital Vice-President of Operations Brad Bertke. “The open house is a way for us to show our appreciation to the community for their support.”

The new expanded 16,000 square foot ICU, which is part two of a three-phase $18 million expansion project, will provide more space and amenities to provide patients with a more comfortable healing environment, said hospital public relations director Pete Gemmer.

“As an award-winning hospital that is growing with the region, the new ICU is another way that we are staying ahead of that growth and building on our excellence every day here at Mercy Hospital Clermont,” he said.
