A judge has denied a plea deal that was offered to Amy Baker.

In a Kentucky courtroom Dec. 4, Mason County Circuit Judge Stockton Wood rejected the plea deal that was approved and offered to Baker by Kentucky prosecutors last month.

In exchange for a guilty plea of tampering with evidence, Baker would have been exempted from any jail time for her role in helping David Carroll dispose of the burned remains of murdered foster child Marcus Fiesel over a Maysville bridge into the Ohio River late last summer.

This deal was approved by Kentucky prosecutors and Amy Baker herself; she was ready to plead out and make the deal until Judge Wood denied the plea and the arrangement on Tuesday.
