Union Township resident Donna Hoffman, a former employee of the West Clermont School District, has been charged with the sexual battery of a 16-year-old male high school student.

Hoffman, who was indicted by a grand jury Nov. 28, entered a plea of not guilty to the sexual battery charge. At her arraignment the next day, Clermont County Common Pleas Court judge Robert Ringland released the accused Hoffman on her own recognizance after she, and a second party, signed a $50,000 bail bond.

Hoffman, 42, who lives on Cannon Gate Drive in Union Township, stands accused of allegedly having sexual conduct with a teenage West Clermont High School boy, a third-degree felony, during the months from May through November.

Union Township police lieutenant Scott Gaviglia said that it is believed Hoffman met the student while serving as a parent volunteer at the Glen Este High School. Hoffman supervised the wrestlerettes, a cheer leading team made up of five girls (including Hoffman’s daughter), who keep score and cheer for the high school’s wrestling squad.
