The New Richmond Village Council held a disciplinary hearing Nov. 27 for terminated village police officer Ken Frazier, accused of naming a confidential informant.

The charges stem from an incident where an informant came into the village to reveal the location of a person wanted by the New Richmond Police Department for not paying child support and violating a restraining order.

After the arrest was made from confidential information obtained by the informant, Officer Frazier is accused of naming the informant to the defendant, something contrary to police procedures.

In testimony given at the hearing, which played to more than 50 people (more were waiting in the hallway for a seat), New Richmond Police Chief said that Officer Frazier, when questioned about the incident, first denied it, but then admitted to naming the informant.
