Milford senior Matt Belliston and Glen Este freshman Michelle Thomas represented Clermont County in the state cross country championship meet. Both competed in Division I.
To qualify for the state finale showdown, the Clermont County duo performed extremely well in their respective regional races.
The state championship races took place at the Scioto Downs Race Course in the Greater Columbus area.
Thomas completed the 3.1-mile Scioto Downs course in 18-minutes, 33.27-seconds which earned her a respectable 14th place overall. Claire Durkin of Worthington won the race in 17:10.51.
Belliston completed the same course in 16:47.15 to achieve 84th place overall. Donnie Roys of Medina was the winner in 15:21.83.
