The Clermont County Crisis Hotline, (513) 528-SAVE (7283), has been awarded accreditation for another three years by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS).

This recent accreditation announcement marks the second consecutive time that the Clermont Hotline has received the award from the Washington D.C.-based AAS organization.

“This means that we are keeping the hotline, and indeed all of our services, up to the very high community standards required by the AAS,” said Hotline Coordinator Rachel Bayer. “The accreditation is important so that of our callers can have confidence in the fact that we are continually striving to provide excellent services.”

Child Focus, Inc. Chief Clinical Officer Laura Stith said that the accreditation signifies that the crisis hotline has been evaluated, by on-site examinations/inspections and other procedures, and has continually met or exceeded guidelines in the areas of administration, delivery of general services, services in a life-threatening crisis (which is what the hotline was designed for), ethical issues, community integration and programs evaluation, and training.
