Clermont County veterans now have an additional thing to take pride in. A recent renovation of the Clermont County Veterans Service Commission offices has created a new environment for veterans to enjoy while utilizing the help offered by veterans services.

Danny Bare, Executive Director of Veteran Services, said that the new complex is a focal point for the overall outreach program for local veterans.

“The project started in the spring, and we just finished it last week, literally,” said Bare. “Wade Grabowski saved the county a ton of money on this. The total price using county employees was far less expensive than contracting out.”

The completion, which came just in time to celebrate Veterans Day, was marked with an open house tour and ceremony. During the ceremony, several veterans were honored, some of whom were presented with medals that were either lost or never made it to the recipients. Wade Grabowski, Director of Facilities for Clermont County, said that his office was pleased to complete the project, which they saw as a way to pay veterans back for the sacrifices they had made.
