Voters in the West Clermont School District successfully passed a $30 million bond issue to replace two of the district’s oldest schools Nov. 6.
The bond issue, named “Building Futures” by the West Clermont Board of Education, will now allow the district to replace the Amelia Elementary School and the Withamsville-Tobasco Elementary School.
A total of 7,105 voters cast a favorable ballot, while 6,410 voted against – a difference of almost 700 votes.
The now approved bond issue was the fourth attempt by the West Clermont Board of Education to secure funding to replace its old school buildings in almost three years.
