Municipal court defendants will continue to answer to Judge Tony Brock after voters chose him to continue representing the citizens as municipal court judge.

Brock, a former assistant prosecutor, was appointed to the position last year to fill out the unfinished term of former municipal court judge Victor Haddad, who was elected to fill a new judgeship in the Clermont Court of Common Pleas.

Challenger Curt Hartman trailed Brock by nearly 10,000 votes when the ballots had been counted. In all, Brock received a nod from the voters with a 22,220 to 12,469 victory in the race, giving him a 64.05 to 35.95 percent of the vote.

Neither Hartman or Brock could be reached for comment after the election.
