The Milford Schools high school students have something to celebrate – at least they will in about two years. The bond issue placed before voters this election passed by a slim margin of around 400 votes. In all, 5,639 voters supported the issue, while 5,273 voted against it, giving it a margin of victory of 51.68 percent to 48.32 percent.

Superintendent Bob Farrell said that the win is very exciting.

“We’re excited, we’re excited that we can continue the building program and we’re especially excited for our high school students and all of the students who will go through the high school and reap the benefits,” said Farrell. “We look forward to involving the community and school district personnel in the planning and design phase. We’re excited to get a lot of people involved in this design phase that will start tomorrow.”
