The Kids Helping Kids fund-raiser for ‘Tyler’s New Van Fund’ was held at the Clermont County fairgrounds Oct. 14.

The all-youth charity horse show was held in the hopes of raising enough money to help the family with the down-payment cost on a new mini-van that can accommodate a wheelchair lift for the boy.

Tyler May, the 10-year-old disabled boy who lives in Milford with his mother Renee Day, was born with many serious medical conditions, including several physical anomalies, developmental delays, seizure disorders, and many other special needs.

“I am overwhelmed by this, I truly am,” said mother Renee at the fund-raiser. “I have never considered myself or my son a charity case. When I see all of the hard work in organizing this event today paying off in such a way, and all of the well wishes from people that we have never met, I am incredibly humbled and in awe of the kindness and generosity of the people in Clermont County.”
