New Richmond and Milford both recorded a trio of victories with no defeats in the most recent encounters of Clermont County’s high school varsity boys soccer teams.

The Lions and Batavia have both clinched their respective division titles of the Southern Buckeye Conference.

New Richmond leads the Southern Buckeye Conference American (SBC-A) Division championship chase with its unbeaten league record. The Red and Black shellacked Felicity 9-1 on the winners’ field in a SBC non-division contest. Netting the Lions’ goals were Jake Ottlinger three times, Andy Piper two times, Matt Kilgore two times, and Matt Lancaster and Nick Groman recorded a goal apiece. Jordan Peron accounted for the Cardinals’ goal. New Richmond had to fight off a visiting and determined Batavia Bulldog squad, the SBC National (SBC-N) Division leader, to emerge with a 1-0 win. Groman made the showdown’s lone goal in the first half. The Lions’ goal keeper Chris Ware was credited with the shut out. Bethel-Tate was the next victim of the Red and Black 2-0. Kilgore and Piper made the goals for the victors. Ware stopped all eight of the visiting Tigers’ scoring attempts at the goal in this SBC-A confrontation.

New Richmond has clinched its 10th consecutive SBC-A boys soccer title which is an SBC record. This squad is very experienced with a total of eight seniors dressing out.
