John Kuntz, a contender for the open seat on the Goshen Township Board of Trustees, said that the township is balanced on the brink of a new age of expansion, and agreed with his fellow candidates that there needs to be a lot of management to keep that growth from damaging the largely rural township.

“Goshen is in a state of change, it’s going to happen,” said Kuntz. “My thought is, if we don’t design and manage that change, the change will be thrust upon us and we’ll end up with something we don’t want.”

Kuntz, a relative newcomer to the area, decided to run for the trustee position because of his passion for his new home.

“I’m relatively new to the area, my wife and I moved here a little over four years ago,” said Kuntz. “We love the area so much that my friends and neighbors suggested I run for office. This is my first venture into public service. I want to give back to the community I love.”
