While the sequence of events remains unclear, a mystery 911 call was solved when a woman and child with wounds from being bitten by a dog appeared at Mercy Hospital Anderson.

The mystery call originated from a cell phone, and the incident was eventually traced back to the residence of Bengal player Deltha O’Neil.

According to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Department, a cell phone call from a woman was received in which the woman asked for help, but the call was disconnected. The shortness of the call limited Clermont County dispatch’s ability to determine where the call was made from. The number was able to be run through a local phone service, which determined the location of 108 Tall Trees subdivision in Monroe Township. Upon contacting the residents at that location, it was determined that two people had left the home shortly before the deputies arrived in a black SUV. That vehicle is registered to O’Neil.
