What began as a small Buick car lot in downtown Batavia 62 years ago has turned into Cincinnati’s number one single-point GMC volume dealer.

Holman Motors GMC Truck is celebrating 25 years as a GMC family franchise; a recognition ceremony was held at the Eastgate service facility Sept. 6.

“We are really excited about this,” said owner and manager Greg Holman. “We never dreamed of this when we signed up for the franchise in 1982. As proud as we are, this recognition today is really a tribute to our parents.”

After moving to Batavia from Mt. Orab in Sept. 1945, parents Glen and Mary Holman decided to open up a Buick store. As they worked and raised their family in Clermont County, business flourished; they very quickly prospered.
