Clermont County residents traveling outside of the county, or away for an extended period of time, can keep up on local issues thanks to a new streaming video service from the Clermont County Office of Public Information. Clermont Today, a video production of OPI, has been placed online, giving the internet savvy a new way of staying plugged in with Clermont County.

“Clermont Today is a county government informational and educational program that’s produced every other week,” said OPI director Kathy Lehr. “A new episode airs every other week on access channels throughout Clermont County. It features government leaders and other county personnel talking about new programs and issues, as well as some county citizens as well.”

The program, which began about five years ago, has grown in frequency of production, as well as in complexity, as the popularity of the broadcast and technical sophistication of OPI has increased. What was once a one horse town, it seems, has hit a gold rush, jumping from one topic or guest a show to as many as eight.
