No, we are not under enemy attack or surveillance; we are only in the farm yard of 73-year old Moscow resident Larry West. West, who has always liked to build things and has made somewhat of a hobby out of building birdhouses on his Moscow mini-farm, has recently built a unique Martin birdhouse in the shape of a B-52 Bomber airplane. “Building birdhouses is something enjoyable that I just like to do,” he said while touring his picturesque farm property July 14. “This latest one of the B-52 bomber took several months to complete. Using thick plastic, I framed it in, screwed it together, placed aluminum siding all around it, and there she is, surveying all that she sees.” The birdhouse, which West said that he had always dreamed of building, is 5 feet, 10 inches long from wingtip to wingtip, stands 18 feet high in the sky, and has a total of four engines (the real B-52 Bomber planes have eight engines, West said).
