Clermont Northeastern Middle School student Taylor Faecher has been selected to participate in the National Young Leaders State Conference in Columbus next spring.

Faecher, 12, who was nominated by his seventh grade CNE math teacher Mrs. Dorsey and will enter the eighth grade in the fall, will join the hundreds of outstanding and exemplary eighth and ninth grade students across the nation who have been invited to take part in the leadership development program.

“I was initially shocked when I heard about it,” Taylor said in his Jackson Township home July 13. “But I am very happy, proud, and excited to have been selected – this is really a big deal for me. I am looking forward to the conference.”

The four-day NYLSC, which is held annually in 32 different cities across the country, was designed to help young scholars like Faecher take a personalized assessment of their leadership skills and abilities.
