A new restaurant called Country Cruz’en opened in Owensville July 1.
Plans for the brand new family owned and operated country-style restaurant, which will be reminiscent of the old drive-in/cruise-in restaurants of the 1950’s and the 1960’s, have been in the works for the last three years.
“We were inspired by the days when cruise-in restaurants were a fun and popular way to eat and socialize with friends on the weekends,” said owner Randy Clem. “We wanted to bring that style back to Clermont County and open up a restaurant that our whole family could be a part of.”
Country Cruz’en will be managed and operated by the Clem family who live in Edenton. Randy Clem, his wife Shawna, and their two sons Justin, 21, and Jared, 19 are all part of the new endeavor.
