Mt. Carmel Fire aflame as initial season begins

June 29th, 2007    Author: Richard Crawford    Filed Under: Sports

The Mt. Carmel Fire (on offense), a first-year semi-professional football team, has been able to draw blood from two of its first three foes despite the opposition’s advantage of experience. David Coghlan, a CNE grad, and Brandon Naylor, a Western Brown grad, have both scored two touchdowns and Andy Hesketh, a Bethel-Tate grad, has done a superb job at quarterback according to head coach Kyle Dincler, an Amelia grad. The predominantly Clermont County squad will play arch-rival Southern Ohio Patriots (June 30) both at Anderson High School at 7 p.m.
