June 22nd, 2007    Author: Staff Report    Filed Under: News

The public is invited to attend an event to raise money for the Joshua Epperson Memorial Fund-Raiser at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Bethel Fields, behind Hill Intermediate School in Bethel.

Josh was killed May 28 when a beam fell on him at a construction site. Josh was a member of the Killer Bees, a Knothole baseball team.

The Killer Bees will play the Bethel Pride under the lights at 8:30 p.m. that evening. The Bethel Boosters have pledged to match all money raised from this event, which will feature a raffle of many items, including event passes, restaurant gift certificates, and much more.

All money from concessions sold at the game also will be donated. Anyone unable to attend the event but wishing to help may send a donation to the Joshua Epperson Memorial Fund, care of Fifth Third Bank, 1196 Ohio Pike, Amelia, Ohio 45102.

For more information, contact either Bethel Pride Coach Ed Coates at 734-3120 or Killer Bees Coach Jeff Brown at 943-1669.
