A New Richmond Girl Scout troop has donated 63 cases of Girl Scout cookies to our American soldiers serving in Iraq.

The 10 girls of New Richmond Girl Scout Troop #6649, who have been sending cookies to our men and women in Iraq for the past four years, assembled at the Chilo Post Office on the morning of June 14 to send this year’s delicious shipment.

“This project is very important to all of us,” said troop member Kelly Wolf. “We are very excited to do this every year because we like helping and supporting those people who help us and our country.”

Troop #6649, which sold a total of 10,000 boxes of girl scout cookies this year, received donations for 756 of those boxes to be sent to our soldiers fighting in Iraq.
