Kara Johnson, Clermont Northeastern senior and three-sport star, has recently earned a berth on the first team of the Division II All-Ohio All-Academic team.

“I was surprised. It’s a very nice thing to be recognized for my grades along with sports,” she said.

Her four-year athletic career at Northeastern saw her earn two varsity letters in volleyball and four each in basketball and fast pitch softball.

She was a Southern Buckeye Conference American Division all-star in all three sports. She has earned special awards from her alma mater as the most improved on the volleyball court and the most valuable player on the basketball court and the softball diamond and was also the best offensive player on the fast pitch squad.

In addition to her superior performances in sports she found the time to be a member of the National Honor Society, the student senate, the yearbook staff, and the Leo Club, and was a class officer.
