The bodies of the father and son who went missing on William Harsha Lake in East Fork Park were recovered June 9.

Charles E. Chippendale, 74, and his 38-year-old son Scott Chippendale, both from Lebanon in Warren County, are now known to have drowned after falling out of their 19-foot 1995 Ranger Bass fishing boat at approximately 11:45 a.m. April 2.

Using sonar detection, divers from Columbus retrieved the bodies from the bottom of the 40-degree, 80 feet deep lake water on Saturday afternoon, June 9.

Family members, who had been awaiting word on the fate of the father and son for almost 10 weeks, were present at the lake during the recovery effort.
