The Clermont County Office of Public Information has once again received national recognition for excellence, earning three superior ratings from the National Association of County Information Officers.

“Basically, this is an arm of the national association of counties, which represents counties, villages and municipalities all across the country,” said Clermont OPI director Kathy Lehr. “This is the fifth year in a row we’ve been recognized, but this is the most we’ve ever won.”

Over the past five years, the local OPI has received recognition for their work in several areas, including awards for special projects, such as a video project featuring WWII survivors, and on daily activities, such as writing press releases.

The Clermont County OPI serves as a liaison between the county commissioners and the public, helping citizens to find information, contact the right government officials and maintain a transparent government system through press releases.
