The Bethel Village Council may soon be clear of the old Bethel Swim Club property. The council voted April 24 to proceed with a sale to a township couple who will, as part of the sale agreement, annex into the village.

“We had another offer for the swim club,” said Bethel administrator Michael Shiverski. “We already have an ordinance to get rid of it, to sell it.”

Purchasers in the deal will be Michael and Donna Marshall, who will annex their current farm into the village as part of the deal to sell, which also includes the village performing a survey of the property and the village removing two trees on the property.

“They wish to be annexed within 90 days of the closing date, which I anticipate to still be this month,” said Shiverski.
