Batavia Township residents may see a change in routine this November when they go to vote. According to a discussion at the April 3 trustees meeting, the Clermont County Board of Elections is considering a change of venue for a number of voting precinct locations in the township.

“The board of elections is thinking of moving three of their precincts to this building,” said township administrator Rex Parsons. “They want to move precincts B, D, and K. Currently, B votes at the Batavia Middle School, and if you looked at a map, it makes sense. It’s in this area. Additionally, they are looking at D and K, which goes to the American Legion.”

The move would place all three poling locations closer to the actual precinct, getting voters to and from the voting booth with a smaller drive.
