Amelia High School honored its deserving autumn sports athletes at gatherings that recently took place.

Following are the deserving athletes singled out for special recognition.

Varsity football

All-Fort Ancient Valley Conference (FAVC) Academic Team: Tyler Boston, Donovan Schwalbach, Scott Leaman, David Minshall, Justin Feine, Ryan Danahey, Mike Beard, David Berndt, and Matt Farley. Top scholars: Tyler Boston, Mike Beard, Donovan Schwalbach, and Matt Farley. Best Lineman: Mike Beard. Most valuable offensive players: David Carr and Kyle Dwelly. Special teams most valuable: Tyler Boston. Defensive most valuable: David Minshall. Baron Award: Alex Coon.

Junior varsity football

Academic honors: Tyler Council, Bobby Nagel, Matt Dameron, Billy Tummeler, Taylor Linneman, and Michael Niolet.

Freshman football

Academic honors: Brandon Lahm and Jacob Martin.

Cross country

All-FAVC Academic Team: Adam Sprague, Kayla Wakefield, Alex Wakefield, Daniel Sandker, Sarah Stapleton, Kady Lynn, and Beth Wilson.
