Clermont County residents can enjoy a warm home again after power was restored and lines repaired after a winter storm blew through last week.

Portions of the county, especially in the Goshen area, were blanketed with ice that snapped limbs and power lines, leaving some without power for days.

“We had customers throughout our service territory without power,” said Duke Energy spokesperson Kathy Meinke. “I’d say that all of our customers were up by midnight on Friday as we predicted. Clermont County was certainly one of the hardest hit.”

Many Clermont residents had to wait almost until that time to get power back. Portions of Goshen and Wayne townships were only restored to power late Friday.
