Lew Lady has resigned as the athletic director at Clermont Northeastern. Lady, a native of Crawford County, Ohio, had served in the position for five years.

“I feel it’s just the right time. I’m tired and worn out. I want to do other things,” said Lady. “I’m going to use my vacation time.”

Lady is a 1967 graduate of Col. William Crawford High School in Bucyrus, Ohio, the county seat of Crawford County. He was a letterman in football and track and field for the Colonels. He earned his education degree at Ohio State University.

Lady replaced CNE and Clermont County sports legend John Washko. Before coming to CNE, Lady began his 36-year career as an educator at Middletown and then Mariemont and Georgetown (Ohio) schools.

Also serving as a certified official in track and field, he will be noted at CNE for his support of and continuing the high school sports hall of fame and being a mainstay in improving and increasing the school's athletic facilities.
