One Goshen Township family is hoping to see a little bit of a difference in housing developments around their neck of the woods.

A family partnership led by Jeff Corcoran is planning to create two housing developments composed entirely of log homes, which Corcoran said is unique, but definitely beneficial to the community.

“We, the family, have a lot of acreage out here,” said Corcoran. “Both my son and I live in log homes on one of the parcels, so since we live here, we want to make it as nice as possible. A log home community is something we’ve talked about for a long time. It is unique, but it’s something that I think Goshen Township is ready for. We want to preserve the environment we live in by putting everything around it in log homes.”

Currently, there are two developments planned, which will be linked together when completed. Named Dovetail and Saddlenotch, the two developments will each contain about 21 lots and will tie in with the log cabin theme by creating a “horse friendly” environment for residents.
