The New Richmond Cub Scout Pack #155 is holding a holiday food and clothing drive to help needy families in the community.

“The food drive is all about community service,” said Pack #155 committee chairperson Sidnie Reed. “The scouts have been collecting food, toys, and clothes for a couple of weeks now for people and families in the community who are less fortunate.”

The food and other collected items were brought in to the New Richmond Elementary School’s cafeteria at the pack’s regular monthly meeting Dec.18.

One New Richmond family was burned out of their home recently and escaped with only the clothes that they were wearing; some of the toys and clothes collected by the boys will be given to this family.
