The Clermont County Humane Society has released a Christmas ‘wish list’ for the community’s four-legged friends.

“We do this every year and it is always successful,” said Kim Naegel. “Some people even have holiday parties and ask their guests to bring items that are specifically donated to the shelter.”

The wish list of items include paper towels, cleaning supplies, bleach, dish soap, large and small garbage bags, towels, dryer sheets, hand soap, old bedding and blankets, laundry soap, puppy and kitten chow, garden hoses, food bowls, and litter boxes.

“These are only some of the things that we would normally have to purchase in order to operate the shelter,” said Naegel. “It helps offset some of our operating and budget expenses.”

Jingles, an eight week old Collie mix, is hoping that as the community shops for holiday gifts, they remember him (he is also up for adoption).
Anyone wishing to donate any of the items listed above can drop them off at the Clermont County Humane Society between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The shelter is located at 4025 Filager Road in Batavia and the phone number is (513) 732-8854.
