The 2006 class of the Bethel-Tate High School Sports Hall of Fame has been selected. Seven new members have been added.

Richard Kilgore (class of 1970). Kilgore led the Clermont County League (CCL) in rushing and scoring during the Tigers’ unbeaten league championship football season of the 1968-69 school year. He was a CCL all-star in football and basketball and a letterman in baseball, track and field, and volleyball.

Danny Ridener (class of 1974) was one of the leading rushers and scorers in the CCL in football several years. He was a CCL all-star on the gridiron and the baseball diamond. He also lettered in basketball.

Ron Albers (class of 1975) was a three-time CCL wrestling champion and district qualifier and lettered in several other sports. He has several times been chosen as national junior college tennis coach of the year as the head of the program at Vincennes (Ind.) University. Today he serves as the school’s athletic director.

Scott “Tiger” Wise (class of 1978) was a CCL wrestling champion several times and a district qualifier and a league all-star in golf.

Todd Shinkle (class of 1982) was CCL defensive player of the year in football and earned a berth on the All-Ohio team at linebacker. He was a CCL all-star wrestler and a district qualifier. He also lettered in track and field.

Tina Demaris (class of 1986) was a state qualifier and placer in cross country and track and field (800 meters) and was a CCL all-star in both sports.

Linda Sparks coached all of the girls sports at Bethel-Tate from the beginning of Ohio High School Athletic Association and CCL sanctions of girls sports (1974-75). She was several times the CCL coach of the year in basketball and track and field.

The induction ceremonies will take place at the Bethel-Tate Middle School (old high school) gymnasium on Dec. 16. The dinner begins at 4 p.m. and the ceremonies will continue at the present high school gymnasium where the inductees (present and past) will be reintroduced at halftime of the varsity boys basketball game versus Deer Park.
