New Richmond avenged its only Southern Buckeye Conference (SBC) setback that took place in Mount Orab earlier in September by paying back Western Brown’s Broncos 3-2. The Brown and Gold’s loss was their first in the SBC and ties the Brown countians with the Red and Black for the conference’s American Division leadership position.

“The girls practiced hard for this match. They really wanted to win and come back to beat them and tie Western for first place in the conference,” said New Richmond coach Tina Grippa of her squad that is now 10-1 in the SBC-A and 13-3 overall.

“They set a goal for themselves and they made it. This win over Western Brown has certainly boosted their confidence.”
