Delbert Cecil Lovins, 88, of, of Goshen, died Sept. 30, 2006. He was born in Somerset, Ky., on June 19, 1918. He was a retired steel plant galvanizer and a WWII army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonathan and Rebecca Russell Lovins; wife, Pearlie (nee Prows); brothers, Richard, Noah, Charlie, Dewey, Willie, Marcus, Hobert, and Edward; and sisters, Tempi, Lucy, Sarah, Jane, Rose, Lily, and Mary.

He is survived by sons, Gilbert (Gayle) and Gene (Georgetta); brother, Clarence; sister, Christine Baker; grandchildren, Tony (Michelle) Lovins, Michele (Steve) Pohlmann, Kerrie Montgomery, Douglas, Miranda, and Mariah; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Oct. 6 at the Morris and Hislope Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Woodstock Cemetery.

The Goshen Evans Funeral Home is also serving the needs of the family.
