Three men charged for wire thefts
Three men are charged and two are being sought for a series of thefts involving copper. A grand jury indicted the three Oct. 18 with the listed charges. In all, some $9,000 in copper was lifted by the three men during August and September of this year.
Bethel cabins may remain in Burke Park
A group seeking to preserve the historical log cabins located in Bethel’s Burke Park has shown promising results in their search for volunteers and funding. Ron Shouse, a Tate Township resident, volunteered his time a month ago at a village council meeting, asking the village council to stop the sale of the two cabins to an out-of-state buyer and allow local history buffs to look into preserving the structures locally.

Clermont County’s varsity girls tennis season has come to a close following the confrontations in the respective conference tournaments and the sectional tournament. Glen Este and Milford, two of Clermont County’s Division I tennis squads, turned in somewhat respectable records overall and in their respective conferences.
Mason challenges McBride in common pleas race
Clermont County voters will determine this November who sets as judge in the county’s court of common pleas. On Nov. 7, Clermont Court of Common Pleas Judge Jerry McBride will face challenger Ron Mason for the position which McBride has held since 1995.
