Goshen has been rated ‘effective’
The Goshen Local School District is already hard at work in assuring that next year’s rating from the Ohio State Department of Education is excellent.
Senior Services auction to be held Sept. 8
The 7th annual Clermont Senior Services Art, Antiques, and Collectibles Auction will be held at Eastgate Receptions Sep. 8. According to Executive Director George Brown, last year the auction raised more than $30,000 to support the work of Clermont Senior Services.
Rumpke to make collection change
Rumpke has made plans to automate the Amelia village trash program. It was announced in council chambers at the Aug. 21 meeting that Rumpke will be giving every Amelia resident a new 96 gallon trash can as part of the new system that will make garbage pick-up easier and more cost effective.

Orville Raymond Grosnickle, 84, of Pleasant Plain, died Aug. 25, 2006. He was a self-employed farmer.

Jean Grossman, 55, formerly of Bethel, died Aug. 21, 2006. She was born on June 14, 1951, in Georgetown, Ohio.
Laura Nelson, 89
Laura Nelson, 89, of Milford, died Aug. 23. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by husband, Marshall.
Oliver Dennis Partin, 92
Oliver Dennis Partin, 92, of Bethel, died Aug. 23, 2006. He was born on April 19, 1914 in Artemis, Ky. He was retired chief metal smith for the U.S. Navy at the Bermuda Air Station and served during WWII.
Joseph Ray Arp, 64
Joseph Ray Arp, 64, of Goshen, died Aug. 26, 2006. He was a self-employed automotive repairman.
Richard Haley, 82
Richard Haley, 82, of New Richmond, died Aug. 27, 2006. He was retired from Cincinnati Milacron.
Erie R. Duckworth, 94
Erie Raymond Duckworth, 94, of Milford, died Aug. 23, 2006. He was a self-employed landscape designer and a WWII army veteran.
