A two-vehicle crash in Stonelick Township has left one local man dead.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Batavia Post is investigating the fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on U.S. 50 approximately one mile east of Owensville at 8:45 a.m. Aug. 17.

According to the accident report, Williamsburg resident Rory Bushelman, 27, riding a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling westbound on U.S. 50.

Goshen resident Tracy Fletcher, 37, driving a 2003 GMC Envoy, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 with her two daughters as passengers.

“As Fletcher was turning left into the Clermont Northeastern School parking lot, Bushelman applied the brakes and swerved to avoid hitting Fletcher’s vehicle,” said State Patrol Lieutenant Paul Hermes.

Bushelman’s motorcycle overturned, struck the vehicle anyway, and slid off the left side of the roadway.

Bushelman, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither Fletcher nor her two daughters were injured and the crash remains under investigation.
