Annual Knothole tournament underway

The 51st Clermont County Knothole Tournament is underway. Following are the results of early round contests.

Class A Senior

Tealtown Lions nipped Williamsburg Wildcats 4-3 and Tealtown Bats battered Withamsville-Tobasco Hornets. All games were played in Williamsburg.

Class A Junior

Clermont Northeastern Rockets outslugged Goshen Sluggers 14-9, Withamsville-Tobasco Blue Jays defused Batavia Green Machine 13-12, and Bethel Tigers tamed Tealtown Dragons. All games were played at Withamsville-Tobasco Park.

Class B Senior Gold Division

Milford Longhorns lassoed Clermont Northeastern Sliders, Withamsville-Tobasco Panthers outran New Richmond Running Rebels, and Milford Bombers strafed Goshen Tigers. All games were played at Withamsville-Tobasco Park.

Class B Senior Silver Division

Tealtown Cougars blew away Goshen Hurricanes, Clermont Northeastern Raiders frosted Bethel Heat, Milford Mariners sunk Bethel Red Sox 7-6, and Tealtown Lighting struck Withamsville-Tobasco Cougars. All games were played at Withamsville-Tobasco Park.

Class B Junior Gold Division

Bethel Rangers disarmed Tealtown Tomahawks 3-2, Amelia Bulldogs plucked New Richmond Hawks 16-6, Goshen Diamondbacks bit Milford Mets 9-5, and Amelia Astros scared Tealtown Terrors 5-3. All games were played at Amelia’s Bachelier Park near Lindale.

Class B Junior Silver Division

Withamsville-Tobasco Eagles detoothed Goshen Sharks 18-8, Amelia Gators plankwalked Tealtown Pirates 17-2, Withamsville-Tobasco Redhawks discolored Clermont Northeastern Reds, and Batavia Cobras outmesmerized Milford Cobras 14-5. All games were played at Amelia’s Bachelier Park near Lindale.

Class C Senior Gold Division

Tealtown Redhawks pulled down Milford Red Sox, Tealtown Panthers outclawed Amelia Bearcats, Tealtown Gators cooled down Amelia Hot Shots, Tealtown Gators digested Williamsburg Blue Jays, and Batavia Bulldogs chomped Milford Panthers. All games were played in New Richmond.

Class C Senior Silver Division

Withamsville-Tobasco Wolves brought down Tealtown Eagles, Milford Cougars imprisoned New Richmond Pirates, Amelia Killer B’s buzzed New Richmond Lions, and Milford Roughriders roosevelted Goshen Tomahawks 8-7. All games were played at New Richmond.

Class C Junior Gold Division

Clermont Northeastern Swarm detoxified New Richmond Stingers, Tealtown Scorpions stung Amelia Panthers, Withamsville-Tobasco Seminoles osceolaed Milford Warriors, and Tealtown Tigers tamed Bethel Tigers. All games were played near Batavia.

Class C Junior Silver Division

Goshen Braves captured Clermont Northeastern Rangers, Withamsville-Tobasco Bearcats hugginsed Batavia Mud Dawgs, Bethel Pirates drowned Tealtown Thunder, and Amelia Redskins burned Felicity Double T. All games were played near Batavia.

Class D Senior Gold Division

Withamsville-Tobasco Stingers pricked Clermont Northeastern Tigers 11-0, Amelia Dusters dirtied Tealtown Vipers 16-8, Tealtown Pirates cannonaded Amelia Raiders 8-5, and Goshen Storm drenched Felicity Indians 8-6. All games were played at Burke Park in Bethel.

Class D Senior Silver Division

Withamsville-Tobasco Titans towered over Goshen Vipers 15-5 and Milford Tigers put out Clermont Northeastern Blazers 11-8. All games were played at Burke Park in Bethel.

Class D Junior Gold Division

Tealtown Pirates outmuscled Bethel Power 7-0, Withamsville-Tobasco Bombers blitzkrieged Goshen Gators 12-

9, Clermont Northeastern Rockets discolored Bethel Red Sox 9-4, and Tealtown Blackhawks arrested Felicity Bandits 15-3.

All games were played at Heisler Park in Goshen.

Class D Junior Silver Division

Goshen Black Sox gambled away Williamsburg Titans 27-20, Batavia Bulldogs leashed Amelia Cobras 12-1, and Goshen Rebels seceded New Richmond Warriors 5-0. All games were played at Heisler Park in Goshen.

In the opening round of the county tournament it was reported Tealtown won had 13 games, Withamsville-Tobasco 10, Milford seven, Amelia six, Goshen five, Clermont Northeastern four, and Batavia and Bethel three each.
