Trustees decide against dogs in public parks

The Union Township Board of Trustees has decided not to modify their current parks to allow dogs, but did hint that a new park, perhaps as soon as next year, may be built to accommodate both people and dogs.

The decision came after a month of investigation after residents complained in June that they were being asked by police to leave current Union Township parks when walking their dogs on a leash.
